6 WEEK MEDITATION CLASS

The three breath based meditations I will be focusing on are:

THE MICRO COSMIC ORBIT

A variation of chi gong adapted by Barbara Ann Brennan (healer, therapist and scientist, author of 'Hands of Light and 'Light Emerging' and founder of Barbara Ann Brennan School of Healing).  Shiatsu everything starts and ends with the Hara, this is something it shares with Chi Gong practices which are the foundation of most Martial Arts.  The Hara is the seat of our power.  This meditation helps us to connect with our Hara and work with our Chi to bring our energy back to our centre line so that we become aligned a with our true centre .  This enables us to mange and correct where our emotions and other peoples emotions encourage our chi to form distorted patterns in our energy fields.  Some say that this meditation helps us to align with our true purpose.

An ancient Daoist meditation used in many applications from chi gong and martial arts to Daoist sexual practice, it is particularly relevant to the meridian system and mastering the control of Chi in our own bodies.  This meditation is centering, grounding and energising.  It can be used to consciously circulate Chi around the body systems and to send it to specific area or organs.  This meditation is  a very powerful tool for reducing anxiety.

THE HARA LINE

THE INVOCATION TO THE UNIFIED CHAKRA

This meditation is a heart centred breathing exercise with affirmations. It allows us to crate a safely expanded energy field centered around the awareness of our hearts. I have been practicing this meditation for 18 years and find that once learned it is a simple do anywhere method of gently returning to our heart centre and brining a sense of lightness into being despite how the outside world may be seeming.
